It is now as easy to sign your applications yourselves directly from your phones. All you need to do is get your certificate and key through easy methods which i'd describe below:
1. Go to any of the sites listed below to request for the certificate and key for your Symbian device.
s60certkey
OPDA-Online Signature
cert.s603rd.cn
Note that it takes between 2-5 days to get the certificate and keys for the sites listed above. Paid services deliver your cert and key at a much more faster rate. So if you are in a hurry you had better used the paid service. They get it done in hours instead of having to wait for days.
2.When your certificate and key is ready, you should receive a mail from them notifying you of this. Then login to the site in which you registered to download your certificate and key.
3.After this you can now use any available free signer to sign your apps. But personally i recommend you use s603rd signer. You can download it from GetJar Or just google for free signers. There are endless lists of them available on the internet. You can also sign it directly online using the second link above (OPDA-Online Signature).
Once you have your cert, key and the free signer of your choice, you are good to go! You can now sign any application you want to.
Its now easy to get your symbian applications signed!
